Class Description: During this fun filled day we will explore how and what feet to use when longarm quilting, how to create pathways to connect your background fills seamlessly, explore using different threads to make your quilt pop, learn how to spice up classic designs like – the orange peel – and become familiar with making your own stencils to using grids to layout your quilting designs. This day of workshops will be a day of wow moments! 

Topics include: 
• Couching 
• Attaching binding while on the frame
• Identify the shapes that you are naturally good at
• Use these shapes to create new pathways
• Audition designs for each quilt 
• The impact thread can have on quilting
• The basic stitch path of the continuous curve 
• Deciding where a continuous line design would fit well 
• How to stitch out the design using free motion or rulers
• Making your own grid stencil
• Applying grids successfully in different size spaces 
• Designs conducive for gridwork 
• Gridwork for E2E designs 
• Marking and removing grids
