Heritage Quilt Block of the Month

Class Fee: $60 for 3 classes or $25 per class
This is a
monthly hands-on class. You will learn about embroidery placement,
stabilizers, as well as many new techniques. The class is great for
the beginner as well as the advanced student.

Cost: $150
– covers all 12 classes - 3 hours of hands-on instructions each
month plus the pattern for each month. This is to be paid at
Cathey’s on Speedway.
$149.95 – Kit Fee which includes background fabric for all blocks,
button, yarn, rick-rack, and ribbon. Each month’s appliqué and extra
supplies will be packed by month and labeled. Fabrics are to be
purchased at Quilter’s Market.
Cathey’s and Quilter’s
Market are joining together to create a great new experience for our
customers. We are going to do a “Block of the Month” class. This is
a twelve-month experience for the beginner to advanced quilter. This
project does not require that your sewing machine have hoop
embroidery.
If your sewing machine has decorative stitches then this class is
for you. With each block you will learn a new technique using a
specialty foot. The finished quilt will be 85” x 93”. These classes
should be a lot of fun!!

Quilting 101 - Beginning Piecing Techniques

Have you wanted to learn how to piece a
quilt top together? In this class you will learn the basic
techniques of rotary cutting, piecing and what type of fabrics and
batting to use. We will also discuss fun quilting gadgets to make
quilting more enjoyable! Everyone will make a simple block in class.

Let's Make A Quilt Top

These classes
are for anyone who has completed the Quilting 101 Class. In this
class you will choose a beginner quilt top to create from a
selection provided by the instructor and you will cut, piece and add
borders in three class sessions. We will also discuss how to quilt
or tie the quilt when the top is completed.
